Showtime style

In this tutorial you will learn how to make this transformation:
First Step: open up photoshop, and cutout your picture. Now would be a good time to colorize it as well. Here is what mine looks like so far. ( If you don't know how to colorize use this tutorial )

Second step: Now you have to duplicate the sm layer three times. so your layers should look like these. Select the top layer and go to blending options. We are going to add a stroke to it, make the setting match these. Create a new layer and move it below the layer that has a stroke on it already, like these. Merge the top layer down to the new layer and we are going to add another stroke. Make the settings like this. We are going to create another layer once again and move it under the top layer. And add yet another stroke, make the settings match this. But before you press okay go to drop shadow and make the settings match these.

Third Step: Now we need to work on this layer. Its looking kinda plain. We are going to add a stroke to it. Make the setting match these. Now we are going to create a later and move it below the layer we just added a layer to so your layers should look something like this. Now merge the layer with you just added a stroke to on the layer you just created. Heres a tricky part so pay attention. Grab your magic wand tool, and select the outside oh the stroke and the sm picture, now invert the selection. It should look like this. Now select a smudgy brush and make it white and go around the stroke it should look something like this once your done.

Fourth Step: We are going to add a stroke to it, make the setting match these. Create a new layer and move it below the layer that you just added a stroke to. Merge the layer down to the new layer and we are going to add another stroke. Make the settings like this. We are going to create another layer once again and move it under the layer that we added a stroke to. And add yet another stroke, make the settings match this. But before you press okay go to drop shadow and make the settings match these. Your project should look like this so far.

Fifth Step: Now go to the very bottom layer and fill it with a color of your choice. This is what mine looks like once I filled it. Create a layer above the layer we just filled and place a sun vector brush with a color that you want. Select the vector and fill every other two with a different color. Repeat that step until the vector is colored to where you like it. Mine looks like this. Now we need to add a stroke, drop shadow and pattern overlay on the vector. So make the settings match these.

Sixth Step: Now go to the bottom layer and create a new layer above it. You are going to add brushes to every other second area. Mine looks like this. Create another layer above the layer you just added brushes to and add different brushes to areas you have yet to fill. Here is what mine looks like. Now for the last step all you have to do add another layer above that last layer you just added brushes to and fill in the blank areas. Your final product should end up looking like this :)
